This meditation on the intersections of urbanism, literary modernism and contemporary visual design in Mexico City conjures notions of spatial arrangement through reduced graphics of immediate form: a map with which to read another map. The poster is a condition of possibility and can be installed in any orientation or combination.
José León Cerrillo received his BFA from the School of Visual Arts, New York and an MFA from Columbia University, New York. He has presented solo exhibitions and projects at venues including DISPATCH, New York; Circuit, Lausanne; Gallery OMR, Mexico City; Galeriea Nara Roesler, Sao Paolo; and La Panadería, Mexico City.
